This is baby Chloe. She was born at 25.5 weeks and weighed only 1lb and 10oz. She was in the NICU for 3 months and was so small she could fit into your hand. The doctors don’t know why she was born early but I guess it doesn’t matter because she survived and grew up to be…This! A healthy 3 1/2 year old who loves singing and to play guitar! It didn’t come without hard work though and we are really lucky that we live at a time where a baby born so early and small can grow up to be a healthy and happy kid. Here is Chloe with her mom Jen when she was 1 1/2 months old. Here is a recent picture of Chloe rocking her rad toddler style and cruising on her tricycle. She hasn’t had any issues since birth which is amazing. I hear about preemies all the time but I have never seen the pictures of the awesome kids they grow up to be. So thank you Jen for sending me these pictures!

Chloe’s mom Jen is walking in the March for Babies on April 29, 2012 in Cleveland. If you would like to donate or learn more about the March of Dimes and March for Babies please click HERE.

  1. My little sister was born at 30 weeks(10 weeks early). She was 3 lbs 10 oz(I think) when she was born. She fit in my grandpa’s palm. She is now 16. Most people think that you can tell when a person was premature, it’s not true though, by the way that Chloe and my sister are…

  2. Such a worthy cause! My best friend has had 3 premature babies. One at 34 weeks, one at 32 weeks and the last at 28 weeks. It is very scary. Thank God with medical technology being what it is, all 3 of her kids are now happy, healthy 6, 4 and 2 year olds.

  3. Thank you for getting the word out!

  4. That is so brilliant! And what a beautiful little mite.

  5. My daughter was 1 lb. 4 oz. and 12 inches long when she was born…13 weeks early. She is now 12 and an honor roll student…5 feet tall, 98 lbs. She was also just nominated for the Jr. Honor Roll Society. Oh yeah, she also plays on a club soccer team. When she was born, they didn’t even know if she would live and said she would probably have medical and learning disabilities. Besides being ADHD, there is nothing wrong with her. I am very proud of her and the other babies spoken of here in this post.
